Crusty Torana Goes Stealth Twin Turbo

In Drag, Video by fullboost

Mark Drew has long had an affliction for building quick street V8’s, many of them being Holden Torana’s.

This particular LH was originally built in a mere 5 weeks and ran a best time of 9.41 at 146mph in naturally aspirated from a 434-cube small block chev.

After getting a taste of LS boost from his wife’s wild HR Holden, Mark decided that was a good enough route to travel down in the lighter weight Torana.

The body might look a bit rough, but check out that engine bay, turbo’s what turbos? Mark has done a stellar job of making sure the bay is as simple as possible. The LSX bullet features a Dart block and cylinder heads with boost supplied from twin Borg Warner turbos and a Holley EFI E85 fuel setup. These were the first pass under boost on wastegate pressure only.
