Accelerated Performance Supra

"Well Don conveniently left out the part where somehow our electric fan exploded right around the 60 ft mark and the blades got sucked into the turbo, tearing apart the wheel around the 1000 ft mark and ending our night after the first pass. If you look closely you can see part of it flying out from the driver's side. Shitty luck. We also are still having shifter cable problems as it skipped 2nd and went directly into 3rd. Once I recruit a better crew to get me into the groove........and get a full pass using all three gears without needing to lift, this car should have a 7 written all over it. And we're still running low boost."

Default 1497hp Blitz Supra

This is a new car I believe. Might shake things up.

http://www.turbomagazine.com/feature...pra/index.html

5-speed Jerico air-shift gearbox. Initial target times are in the low 9-second bracket and with such a high goal the stroked engine (they're experimenting with 3.8L stroker kits) is in a need for serious power.

Fwaark! Been waiitng for this car to do a sorted pass. Thats some massive top end!

----------------

"So we finally did it. First pass off the trailer last night: 7.88 @ 185 with a 1.38 60. Backed it up with a 7.81 @ 187 with a 1.31 60. After contemplating a third 'give it hell pass' we just decided to drive it straight back onto the trailer and call it a night. Here's the video (you can hear me peddle it right after the 60 to kill some tire shake):

And it only took a $45 part to go from breaking something rear end related about every time we pulled it off the trailer to running 7's. Well that and a few different combos of axles, rear ends, and diffs. Don was getting sick of me complaining about not being able to see the Motec digital dash. And you need to understand that my initial driver training (led by such a naturally gifted teacher like Don) consisted of "release the transbrake when the motor sounds pissed and shift when it starts to slow down". So after breaking multiple rear ends, diffs, and axles, Justin suggested he install a shift light to stop the bleeding. He finally hooked it up and we ran two consistent passes for the first time..... We didn't change a thing all summer. Set the shocks at 50%, boost at 33-35 psi, and the Maximizer at 100%. Still running a 28*10.5 slick on the OEM IRS. "

More 6 speed times tumbling

"The car is making some power for sure. At 42psi and spray only in 2-3-4 it went 142.5 in the 1/8th and 177.5mph. I am 100% sure it will go into the 180's as it sits with a single fogger and 3330lbs."

1.40 60ft
5.5@142.5 1/8th
8.37@177.4 1/4

Default WOTM had a BIG moment!

"Some may know but I had an issue my last hit yesterday. I have video, pics, the whole nine. My BL crank pulley came apart during a run at a high RPM. The 6 bolts that hold the center section to the outter were to blame. 3 backed out and the remaining 3 sheared off. The outter section hit my lower hardpipe and water came out under the tires at 160+. The car spun for 1200+ feet and I had it saved until the front tires came off the wheels. At the very end the car barely grazed the wall. Everything is good, motor, driveline, etc. It just needs a bumper, headlight and maybe a fender but the fender can probably be fixed. I had no chance of saving it, it spun instantly. I could race the car next weekend if I changed the fender and bumper. We shall see. The car ran 8.8@120 spinning through the traps. It spun from the 1000ft almost all the way to the first turnout. That obviously indicates it wasn't hitting the wall. I've got the record for quickest Supra sideways It was on its way to 181-182+ for sure but it'll have to wait until I can take it out again. These are the facts. I have everything documented..."
